Broncos realize they need better pass protection (14th Sep 17 at 8:05am UTC)Quote Reply
After appearing in just three games last season, running back Adrian Peterson saw a significant dip in his market value as a free agent this year.

Instead of receiving a pricey contract like his past production might indicate, he ended up taking an incentive laden deal from the New Orleans Saints.

And if Peterson manages to play like he has in the past, he could make a lot more than the previously reported total of $7 million cheap jerseys for the next two years, which included a $2.5 million signing bonus and a $1 million guaranteed base salary for 2017.

According to an ESPN report Wednesday, Peterson has bonuses for rushing yardage and touchdowns. At 750 yards, he would make an extra $150,000. At 1,000 yards, he would earn $250,000, and for 1,500 yards, Peterson would receive $1 million, per the report.

A 10 year veteran, Peterson has eclipsed 750 rushing yards in eight seasons he played just three games in 2016 and one wholesale nfl jerseys in 2014. The running back has run for at least 1,000 yards seven times, and he's broken the 1,500 yard mark twice.

Obviously, with Mark Ingram also vying for carries, it should be tough for the 32 year old Peterson to earn some of these incentives.

It's also worth noting that under coach Sean Payton the Saints have never had a running back eclipse 1,500 yards. Just two wholesale china jerseys players have run for more than 1,000 yards under Payton Ingram and Deuce McAllister and each did it once.

For six touchdowns, Peterson would make $250,000, according to the report. At eight touchdowns, he would receive $500,000. If Peterson scores 10 plus touchdowns and leads the NFL in rushing scores, he would make $750,000.

Peterson also has separate escalators if the Saints make Cheap China Jerseys the playoffs and he runs for at least 750 yards, per the report. He also has a per game roster bonus that could total $1.25 million for 2017, per the report.

Additionally, Peterson's bonuses for 2017 would trigger heightened bonuses for 2018. With all of his escalators, including one for a Super Bowl victory, Peterson's contract could end up being worth $15.25 for two years, per ESPN.

Obviously, the Saints took a calculated risk when giving Peterson this deal. If he earns the not likely to be earned bonuses, it'd mean plenty of success for the Saints offense.
